Welcome

Welcome to the City of Boston Bike Pool. Over 30 bicycles are now available for our employees to use for work-related travel. We provide the bikes, helmets and locks. All you have to do is ride.

Here’s how it works

  • FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS: New Users click HERE for detailed instructions
  • RESERVE A BIKE: Use our online reservation system to take a bike any weekday from 7 AM to 7 PM. You will receive a confirmation email which includes directions, the location of the bike, and a unique pass-code so you can unlock your bike.
  • RIDE SAFELY : Wear a helmet. Follow the rules of the road”.
  • AND FREE BURRITOS TOO: Boloco burrito is giving away a free burrito or burrito bowl to the first 50 people to use a bike three times. How’s that for an incentive?

The Nitty Gritty

The program is completely free of charge. Boston Bikes assumes responsibility for all maintenance and operations of the program. You will be required to sign a waiver. Bike training sessions will be offered throughout the year. Emergency information is provided on the bikes. Full details are provided when you sign up.
